THE GRADER BLADE I BUILT FOR MY CUB

HOW I MADE A BLADE FOR THE FARMALL CUB

The first thing I did was to roll steel 3/16" in a 36" radius x 5'9" long. Angle iron was cut the height of the 3/16" piece, and cope around the backside of the radius. One piece of 3/8" x 3" flat bar for the bottom shoe and 1/4" flat bar for the top as you see in the picture. Two pieces of 1/2" plate x 16" diameter was welded at the center for a swevel with a 1 3/8" bolt through the center on two 3/4" bolt on each end to lock the angle desired.

Stabilizer bar was install from the bottom of the blade going back to the cultivator hook-up at the back for ridgedness. The bars were made of 2" tubing and 1/1/2" tubing and 1/1/2 tubing to slide inside one another for the angle desired.

The blade can be tilted from side to side by adjusting the spring on the upper hydraulic arms on the tractor.

This blade works super good for leveling.
